Guidance Professionals explore hands-on learning at MCAST

The Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) hosted over 75 guidance teachers, career advisers, and PSCD on campus during a seminar on 14 April 2026. Led by MCAST’s Outreach and Student Affairs department, this annual event helps the College keep career professionals updated and better support learners in making informed decisions about their future pathways.

After presentations by Principal and CEO Mr Stephen Vella and the outreach and admissions teams, attendees joined hands-on workshops in performing arts, gilding, metalwork, textiles, electronics, crypto, coding, and more. These sessions offered practical insight into the varied learning opportunities at MCAST.

Staff also shared insights on new courses, including the Master’s in Veterinary Services, and practical courses offered by the Institute for the Trades. The Mosta Campus was represented with presentations on Performing Arts and Product Design courses.

The newly launched course offer includes a wide range of study options, from entry-level programmes to higher qualifications, including Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees, all designed to fulfil evolving industry demands.

Among the new courses announced for the 2026/2027 academic year are:

  • Master of Arts in Creative Expression
  • Advanced Diploma in Farriery and Animal Care
  • Diploma in Disciplinary Forces, Safety and Protection
  • Award in Disciplinary Forces, Safety and Protection

These additions reflect MCAST’s continued commitment to developing relevant, future-focused programmes that respond to the requirements of both students and industry.
