Students’ Maintenance Grants include the yearly grant, stipends, the one-time grant (where applicable), a supplementary grant (where applicable), supplementary allowance (where applicable), single parents’ grant (where applicable), and Top-Up Stipends (where applicable).

Stipends are paid periodically in backdated four-weekly payments.  Students applying for the Students’ Maintenance Grants before the end of December 2023 shall receive their first stipend backdated from the beginning of the academic year, subject to confirmation by the respective educational institution and after students confirm their online application if found eligible.

Classification of courses depends on the area of study and is determined by the Students’ Maintenance Grants Board after consultation with the Minister responsible for Education. Lists of Prescribed and High Priority courses are published on the Students’ Maintenance Grants’ website Classification of Courses – Academic Year 2023 – 2024

 

The MCAST Stipends Office is responsible for the running of the Students’ Maintenance Grants scheme across the College. For queries related to Grant, Stipend, and Supplementary allowance payments, students attending MCAST may:

Visit the reception desk on Level 3, Room 306, Students’ House, MCAST Main Campus, Paola, between 09.00 am and 1.45 pm daily (Monday to Friday, except on Public Holidays) or 

Send queries that require a personalized reply to stipends.information@mcast.edu.mt from their MCAST email account for verification purposes and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations.


Students and members of the public may call directly at the One Stop Shop in Floriana.
