Course Description
This Bachelor’s programme aims to provide learners to become Education and Training practitioners. Learners are provided with the knowledge, skills and competences to work effectively, efficiently and confidently as professional teachers, supervisors, mentors, educational designers and agents of change in the fast changing reality of industry. This can take place in Education Institutions as well as leading learning at the workplace, focusing on pedagogical practices and teaching strategies. Participants on the programme will have the opportunity to build upon their existing disciplinary knowledge, while integrating it with the educational learning that is the core of the programme.
Only the following streams are offered as specialisation in this programme of studies, given that these are the streams which are recognised by the Council of the Teaching Profession (CTP). Before embarking on this programme of studies, the applicant may wish to get in touch with the CTP in order to inform oneself further on future possibilities related to the selected specialisations stream;

Entry Requirements
Internal Progression Route….
A full MCAST MQF Level 4 qualification (120 Credits) related to the area / stream of specialisation – with an overall average Grade of C or better
OR
2 A-Level subjects (with a Grade C or better) and 2 I-Level subjects related to the area / stream of specialisation as indicated in the regulations
AND
SEC / SSC&P or equivalent with a Pass Grade / Level 3, in Maltese, English and Mathematics
Other Important matters to be noted and considered:
Prior to embarking on a Work Placement (successful completion of which is an integral part of the accredited programme of studies, leading to certification), learners need to:
• satisfy the requirements of the Protection of Minors Act (POMA);
• satisfy specific immunisation requirements, by presnetinga formal and valid Vaccination Card endoring a full vaccination programme;
• present a clean Police Conduct Certificate
• present a First Aid Certificate which will be valid upto at least successful completion of programme of studies; and
• Present a complete valid Paediatric First Aid course
