The IT industry is a dynamic sector which requires a number of highly skilled technical personnel to cope with constantly changing customers’ demands and new innovative technologies. This course is the first step towards entering the field of computer networks. It provides learners with core computer networking skills. At this level they will be exposed to the design, implementation and administration of small to medium sized networks. The first year of this course will be common to all learners following the Advanced Diploma. During the second year of studies, learners will be focusing on networking subjects such as LAN switching, routing, server management and virtualisation. This course includes work-related training and practice. |
L-industrija tal-IT hija settur dinamiku li jirrikjedi għadd ta’ impjegati tekniċi bi kwalifiki għoljin biex ilaħħqu mal-ħtiġijiet tal-klijenti li dejjem jinbidlu u mat-teknoloġiji ġodda u innovattivi. Dan il-kors huwa l-ewwel pass biex wieħed jidħol fil-qasam tan-netwerks tal-kompjuter. Huwa jipprovdi lill-istudenti l-ħiliet ewlenin tan-netwerking tal-kompjuter. F’dan il-livell l-istudenti jiltaqgħu mad-disinn, l-implimentazzjoni u l-amministrazzjoni ta’ netwerks żgħar u medji. L-ewwel sena ta’ dan il-kors tkun l-istess għall-istudenti kollha li jkunu qed isegwu l-Advanced Diploma. Fit-tieni sena, l-istudenti jiffokaw fuq suġġetti tan-netwerking bħal-LAN switching, ir-routing, il-ġestjoni tas-server u l-virtwalizzazzjoni. Dan il-kors jinkludi taħriġ u prattika relatati max-xogħol. |

Entry requirements: MCAST Diploma in IT or MCAST Diploma in iGaming or 4 SEC/O-Level/SSC&P (Level 3) passes Compulsory: Mathematics and Compulsory: Computer Studies or Physics or Information Technology Applicants with a good working knowledge of English Language will benefit from a more positive learning experience throughout the course. |
