This programme is intended for learners who are interested in starting a career in the field of electronics. It enables learners to further their studies at higher levels and subsequently find employment in the field of electronics. The programme consists of twelve modules, out of which six are vocational while the other six address the vocational hands-on training. The vocational modules focus on the functions of electronic components, the electronic circuit design, the operation of electronic systems, the installation and configuration of PC hardware and software, the interpretation of engineering information, and working safely and effectively in the workplace. The key skills modules provide an opportunity for learners to gain adequate skills in Maltese, English, Mathematics, Information Technology and Science and Technology. Furthermore, learners will receive guidance in their personal development.
Dan il-programm huwa maħsub għal studenti li huma interessati li jibdew karriera fil-qasam tal-elettronika. Il-kors jippermetti lill-istudenti jkomplu jistudjaw f’livelli ogħla, biex eventwalment isibu impjieg fil-qasam tal-elettronika. Il-programm jikkonsisti fi tnax-il unità ta’ studju, li minnhom sitta huma vokazzjonali filwaqt li s-sitta l-oħra jindirizzaw it-taħriġ prattiku vokazzjonali. L-unitajiet vokazzjonali jiffokaw fuq il-funzjonijiet ta’ komponenti elettroniċi, id-disinn taċ-ċirkwit elettroniku, l-operat ta’ sistemi elettroniċi, l-installazzjoni u l-konfigurazzjoni ta’ ħardwer u softwer tal-PC, l-interpretazzjoni tal-informazzjoni tal-inġinerija, u l-ħidma b’mod sikur u effettiv fuq il-post tax-xogħol. L-unitajiet tal-ħiliet ewlenin jipprovdu lill-istudenti l-opportunità li jiksbu ħiliet adegwati fil-Malti, l-Ingliż, il-Matematika, it-Teknoloġija tal-Informazzjoni u x-Xjenza u t-Teknoloġija. Barra minn hekk, l-istudenti jirċievu gwida fl-iżvilupp personali tagħhom.
