Course Title: Advanced Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance (Aeroplanes – Turbine Engines)
Course Code: AE4-A3-22

ECTS: 120 ECTS

Course details

Mode: Apprenticeship
This programme is designed to equip learners with the necessary theoretical knowledge of aircraft maintenance and related mechanical systems at technician level. This is also backed by practical experience in our workshops. Learners attending this course will be prepared to sit for the relative examinations organised by awarding bodies, and which may lead to being awarded the EASA Part-66 Category B1.1 licence. Subject to authorisation by the Part-145 Organization, the licence will permit the holder to issue Certificates of Release to Service following scheduled works that may include line maintenance, defect rectifications, aircraft structure, power plants and mechanical and electrical systems. Throughout the course, Civil Aviation Directorate examination fees will be paid by the learner.
This course is a highly innovative programme in the sector and gives the learner the opportunity to obtain an Advanced Diploma apart from sitting for the EASA examinations. Successful learners can then progress to the Level 5 Undergraduate Diploma in Foundations of Engineering which will allow them to have access to the IET BEng in Mechanical Engineering or Electronics.
Dan il-programm huwa mfassal biex jipprovdi lill-istudenti l-għarfien teoretiku neċessarju dwar issistemi ta’ manutenzjoni tal-ajruplani u sistemi mekkaniċi oħra relatati fil-livell ta’ teknixin. Dan huwa msaħħaħ ukoll b’esperjenza prattika fil-workshops tagħna. L-istudenti li jattendu dan il-kors jitħejjew għall-eżamijiet relattivi, organizzati minn istituzzjonijiet li joffru dawn il-kwalifiki, u li jistgħu jwasslu għall-għoti tal-liċenzja EASA Part-66 Category B1.1. Permezz ta’ din il-liċenzja, wieħed ikun jista’, jekk ikollu l-awtorizzazzjoni mill-Part-145 Organisation, joħroġ Certificates of Release to Service wara xogħlijiet skedati, li jistgħu jinkludu l-manutenzjoni tal-linja, ir-rettifikazzjoni tad-difetti, l-istruttura tal-inġenji tal-ajru, l-impjanti tal-enerġija u s-sistemi mekkaniċi u elettriċi. Matul il-kors, il-miżati tależamijiet tad-Direttorat tal-Avjazzoni Ċivili jitħallsu mill-istudent. Dan il-kors hu innovattiv għax studenti li jtemmu l-kors b’suċċess ikunu eliġibbli għal Diploma Avvanzata apparti li jkunu jistgħu jagħmlu eżamijiet tal-EASA. Studenti li jtemmu dan ilkors b’suċċess jistgħu jipprogressaw ghall-kors tal-Undergraduate Diploma in Foundations of Engineering, liema kors jagħti aċċess għal baċellerat fl-inġinerija.
