The Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) and Studioseven Company Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening collaboration between education and the audiovisual rental and production industries.

The agreement formalised a shared commitment to enhancing practical learning opportunities, employability, and professional development for students pursuing careers within the audiovisual sector. Through this collaboration, students will benefit from greater exposure to industry practices, hands-on learning experiences, apprenticeships, and opportunities to engage directly with professionals working within the field.

This partnership also established a framework for joint collaboration on curriculum development in areas related to audiovisual production, project management, and the wider audiovisual industry, while maintaining MCAST’s academic oversight and quality assurance processes.
Students will also have the opportunity to gain experience through real industry projects and work-based learning placements designed to reflect the realities of the professional environment.

Speaking during the signing, Principal and CEO, Stephen Vella, highlighted the importance of building meaningful stakeholder relationships that create tangible opportunities for students and the wider community. He noted that the agreement reflects MCAST’s ongoing commitment to connecting education with industry and ensuring students are equipped with the skills, experience, and professional exposure required within evolving creative and technical sectors.
