The Institute of Engineering and Transport at the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology, hosted a seminar titled Technologies for Future Sustainable Space Missions on Wednesday, 20 May 2026. This lecture was organised within the framework of the SUSTAIN project and in collaboration with the University of Padua,The seminar was delivered by Vincenzo Quitadamo and brought together students, lecturers, and professionals with an interest in aerospace innovation, sustainable engineering, and future space exploration technologies.

The session explored emerging technologies and sustainable approaches that are shaping the future of space missions, while also highlighting the importance of international collaboration in advancing aerospace research and innovation. Discussions focused on engineering solutions designed to support long-term sustainability in space exploration, reflecting the rapidly evolving nature of the sector.

Students from Aviation, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, as well as the MSc in Aerospace Engineering, attended the session which was of direct relevance to their studies and future career pathways. The event also provided attendees with the opportunity to engage with current developments within the aerospace industry and gain insights into the technological challenges and opportunities linked to future sustainable missions.
