The Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) participated in this year’s Malta AgriFair 2026, held between 17 and 19 April at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre. The three-day event, organised by the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries, Food and Animal Rights, brought together key stakeholders from across the agriculture, fisheries and aquaculture sectors, with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability and local produce.

Throughout the event, MCAST engaged with visitors through an interactive stand dedicated to its Centre for Agriculture, Aquatics and Animal Sciences (CAAAS). The stand provided insight into the wide range of study programmes offered by the College, highlighting pathways that support the development of skills and expertise within Malta’s growing agri-based industries.

As part of its participation, MCAST also hosted an information session titled “Explore Your Future in Veterinary Science: MCAST”, offering prospective students a closer look at study opportunities in the field, including entry requirements, course structure, and career prospects within veterinary and animal care sectors.
Among the programmes featured were the Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine, the Bachelor of Science in Horticulture, the Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Aquaculture, and the Advanced Diploma in Farriery and Animal Care, together with a variety of other courses designed to meet the evolving needs of the sector.

Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about career prospects in agriculture and related fields, as well as the role of education in driving sustainable and resource-efficient practices. MCAST representatives were on hand to discuss study opportunities, student experiences, and the College’s contribution to strengthening Malta’s agricultural ecosystem.
Malta AgriFair 2026 welcomed thousands of visitors and featured over 50 exhibitors, offering a dynamic programme that included livestock displays, food experiences, and family-friendly activities.
