Principal and CEO Mr Stephen Vella spoke about the importance of education in a rapidly changing world.

“The world is changing quickly and not always in easy ways. That makes your education even more critical. Be curious, take part in student life, make the most of the new spaces on campus, and connect with people who will inspire and support you. Use technology well and let it help you, not control you,” he said.

Mr Vella added that the theme for this year’s ceremony — Creating with Care, Learning with Purpose — reflects MCAST’s vision for balanced and responsible education.

“Education is about more than skills alone. It is about responsibility, balance, and the way we use what we learn to shape both our own future and the world around us.”

Board of Governors President Mr Horace Laudi paid tribute to the dedication of MCAST’s educators and encouraged continued collaboration across the College community.

“Our educators make a real difference through their daily work with students. Every learner deserves the chance to reach their full potential. Let us continue working together for the good of our institution and our students,” he said.

In his closing reflection, Fr Eric Cachia reminded students that they are active participants in building the future.

“You are no passive recipients. You are co-creators of this campus and of this age. Through arts, science and technology, you are entrusted with shaping your future and the future of our world. This is not only a responsibility; it is a gift, an invitation to optimism, courage, and meaningful action.”

The ceremony reinforced MCAST’s long-standing mission to provide hands-on, value-driven education that prepares students for meaningful careers and responsible citizenship. As the College approaches its 25th anniversary, the message “Creating with Care, Learning with Purpose” continues to guide its work, encouraging every learner to innovate with purpose and contribute positively to society.
