ACT – Malta (VO/1491) is a voluntary organisation founded in 2018 that nurtures collaborative pro-action in citizens. We devise and apply practical and sustainable solutions to societal problems and generate learning opportunities for those interested to learn and do what inspires them.
ENVIRONMENTAL
ACT is active in policy formulation and consultation exercises. Our 4 priority areas are Environment, Health, Arts and Socio-Economics.
ACT is also propagating native flora species for the rehabilitation of Maltese habitats. We have managed to propagate around 60 different species and contributed to the planting of around 15,000 trees around the Maltese islands.
ACT is also very keen on assisting emerging artists and arts in public spaces. Apart from contributing to the National Cultural Strategy, ACT is working to launch capacity building exercises and projects relating to this field. We also participate in numerous Erasmus initiatives and seek to promote active citizenship, European integration and volunteering.
