The Malta College of Arts, Science, and Technology (MCAST) welcomed Maltese Prime Minister Robert Abela, and Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation Clifton Grima during the College Freshers’ events being held on campus in Paola.
Prime Minister Robert Abela emphasized how opportunities offered at MCAST will translate to successful experiences for all students.
MCAST President of the Board of Govorners Mr Horace Laudi and MCAST Principal and CEO Mr Stephen Vella met and greeted the Maltese Prime Minister and Minister Grima. Together they toured the MCAST campus, where the Prime Minister was able to see the current activities being held on campus as part of the Freshers’ Week initiative, while meeting students and congratulating them for their future studies and careers.
Moreover, students had the opportunity to discuss with Prime Minister Robert Abela and Education Minister Clifton Grima , advancements being made at MCAST, from new courses offered, to the opportunities in the field of vocational education.
Leader of the Opposition Bernard Grech visited MCAST’s Freshers’ activities on campus in Paola on Tuesday 8 October. He visited stands, and spoke with students and staff.
Numerous private and public entities participated in this year’s MCAST Freshers’. This initiative proved to be an invaluable networking opportunity for all MCAST students, providing them with the right channel to discuss potential apprenticeship opportunities with diverse organisation from the public, and private sector. Moreover, the various NGOs and voluntary organisations that participated in this year’s MCAST Freshers’ helped in providing students with information on how they can engage in voluntary work in different sectors.
During Freshers’ Week at MCAST, the main message is ‘Your success story, starts here’, where students are being encouraged to continue their educational journey and gain more skills that will lead them to quality careers .
MCAST will be holding two other Fresher’s event on the 10 October at the MCAST Mosta Campus and another on 11 October at the College’s Gozo Campus.
