Enriching upskilling workshop for several MCAST lecturers

MCAST, partnered with EIT Urban Mobility, conducted an enriching upskilling workshop for several MCAST lecturers from the Institute of Engineering and Transport (IET) and the Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT) on the 30th of November 2023, Thursday at the MCAST Paola Campus.

The event, titled ” Urban Mobility Trends R&I and Curriculum Development” focused on key areas, including Urban Air Mobility, Sustainable City Logistics, MaaS/SaaS & Future Mobility, and Electric Mobility.

The workshop was tailored to foster a common understanding of new technologies and trends in the field of urban mobility, to showcase innovative solutions that are available in the market, to create an environment for cross-disciplinary collaboration by bringing together educators from diverse backgrounds, and to familiarize them with EIT Urban Mobility tools and concepts.

The workshop was facilitated by the Applied Research and Innovation Centre (ARIC), and Mr. Emre Elmas was hosted as the keynote speaker, provided a comprehensive overview of emerging trends, research areas, and best practices in urban mobility to encourage the lecturers to align their curricula with the rapidly evolving landscape of urban mobility.

This educational activity is funded as part of the EIT Urban Mobility RIS Hub Malta.
