Who can submit a New Application (Form A) ?
Either: Someone who up to June 2024 was not attending a full-time course at MCAST;
Or: An MCAST student who completely failed the first year of a full-time course of studies and wishes to re-apply to start the same course from scratch;
Or: A student who up to June 2024 attended a course at MCAST but now wishes to start a different course, not through progression, but in a different area of study – in such an instance, an email is to be sent to mcast7888@mcast.edu.mt, providing all the necessary details to explain their request;
Or: Someone who has been a registered MCAST student before June 2024 — but did not finish academic year 2023/24, or did not apply for academic year 2023/24 but was a student before that.
Or: Anyone who is applying for a Part-Time course, Training for Industry course or Non-FT Prospectus course (or similar) through MG2i or some other channel.
In all instances it is to be clearly noted that someone interested in doing an MCAST course or training programme, but who does not successfully complete the Online Course Application and Admissions process for any programme delivered by MCAST and leading to a Certificate / official document issued by MCAST, cannot be considered as an MCAST Registered student and hence no Certificate or similar (depending on eligibility) will be issued.
During the Applications’ Main Call, an applicant will only be able to choose a course for which s/he has the necessary Certificates / Results which fit the entry requirements for the selected course. Therefore, if during the Main Call window, someone would still be in a situation were further results are still expected after that the September SEC/MATSEC results would be published, it is highly recommended that s/he will still submit an application during the Main Call…. for the course for which s/he is eligible based on what Certificates / Results are in hand at that point in time. Dewing the Post MATSEC September Results Call, that applicant would…..
- either ask to change course from the one s/he has been found eligible for in the Main Call, to one for which s/he has now achieved any pending results,
- or else if the September results would not yield positive / better ones, s/he would keep to the course applied for and found eligible for during the Main Call, and for which a course acceptance offer would have bene issued, and accepted.
