Transferring of a Full Time Course application – following 24th September 2026 (till end October ’26)
In addition to this FAQ, please also refer to FAQ 27 for further clarification about this matter and especially the importance of having a Main Call course application properly submitted on time, and fully processed by the start of the Course Transfer Period, before you can request a Transfer of Course.
- Students who after the MAIN CALL [https://mcast.edu.mt/application-online-ft-mcast-courses/] will ALREADY be successfully registered at MCAST for academic year 2026/27 (even if for a lower level programme than the one they planned to embark on), with an active MCAST Student email address (2026/27), may wish to request a Transfer of Course by filling the online form here https://forms.office.com/e/nZFNHpbVde. The form can be filled in using your MCAST email address, and will become active as from Thursday 24 September 2026 at 0800h. Transfers can only be considered if spaces are still available on the selected course.
- Eligibility will still be processed when transferring to the new course, and so it is important that all the necessary entry requirements for the chosen course would be clearly available in the student’s profile from original vetting which led to Registration as MCAST student. Otherwise it will not be possible to vet eligibility for the Transfer.
- To this effect, if during the transfer period [see timeline https://mcast.edu.mt/application-online-ft-mcast-courses/] you are eligible for a higher level or a different programme, [from the one you would have been registered on after successful completion of MAIN CALL application process], after achieving additional grades following (for example) publication of MATSEC / SEC end-September 2026 Results, it is important that when filling in the online form here https://forms.office.com/e/nZFNHpbVde, a full clear scan of the latest results slip (NOT SMS screenshot or result via your EID) is uploaded accordingly.
It is therefore very clear that it is important that during the Main Call you submit a course application for a course for which you have the necessary entry requirements during same Main Call (and so before any resists and their results). Please refer to FAQ 27 for further clarification about this matter.
No further transfers will be acceptable beyond the established Transfer Window, particularly since lecture sessions would have started off, and course content would have starting picking up good tempo.
