The Community College for the Third Age encourages active ageing through a free informal lifelong learning journey to help foster integration within the community.

The Community College for the Third Age meets weekly to host informal interactive sessions that may include information on art, culture, history, literature, health issues, and culinary and gastronomy sessions. The sessions cover Maltese culture, history and literature; and knowledge needed in today’s fast-paced society, including the use of online spaces, antibiotic misuse and health screening.

As this community aims to foster interaction and engage older adults within the community, on-site visits are popular and much welcomed by this group. Over the years, the attending older adults have had the opportunity to attend educative tours of local museums, science interactive spaces such as Esplora, the Planetarium and the national aquarium and local businesses such as Continental Cars and Marsovin Wine Cellars.
