This information is applicable to New applicants submitting a course application for the first time at MCAST.

Irrespective of any Exam Resits which you will be sitting for at end August / September 2026, you need to act immediately, and submit an course online application in full, now during the Main Call (up to its formal deadline – see admissions timeline https://mcast.edu.mt/application-online-ft-mcast-courses/)

A this point during the Main Call, you will obviously be applying for a course for which you have the necessary eligibility in hand [School Leaving Certificate / MATSEC results / other Qualifications etc – all that you happen to have achieved till now in terms of your past studies and any accredited programmes of study (whatever their duration) which you have followed an achieved in full].

The important thing is that during the Main Call you submit a proper and full application for a course which may be a lower level of the one you originally intended.

Your Main Call application will be processed and vetted accordingly – individually and in detail … throughout the 6 to 8 weeks following submission of your application. If you are found eligible for what you would have applied for (during Main Call) you will eventually receive a course acceptance offer for that course, you applied for (during  Main Call).  It is important that you accept the course offer once you receive it.  That way you will become an MCAST Registered Student on the course you will be found eligible for.

ONLY if the above would have been followed …..  if at end of September you receive new exam results which at that point make you eligible to a higher level of studies, you can submit a Request to Transfer your Course application, to the new course for which you will then (at end September) become eligible for – following publication of new exam resit results.  Use this online form which will become active on 24 September 2026 … https://forms.office.com/e/nZFNHpbVde

However, we remind that this course transfer will only be possible …..

  • if during the Main Call you would have submitted a course application for which you are eligible with the results you have in hand during Main Call
  • if the Main Call course application which would have been submitted, will be processed successfully to eligibility
  • if you would have accepted the Course Acceptance Offer which would have been sent to you after that you will be found eligible for the course you will apply for during the Main Call.
  • if the transfer request online form [https://forms.office.com/e/nZFNHpbVde], is properly submitted between Thursday 24th September and Friday 30 October 2026.
