Mr Mario Martin Bugeja
Director (Procurments)

Mr Mario Martin Bugeja joined MCAST as Director of Procurement on April 23, 2024, bringing with him a wealth of experience in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Administration, and Public Procurement from both the private sector and the Government of Malta.

Prior to this role, Mario held several key positions, including Director of Finance and Administration at the Ministry for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects (MTIP), Assistant Director of Procurement at the Department of Contracts, and Assistant Director at the Ministry for Finance and Employment (MFE).

Mario’s extensive career in the private sector spans over 20 years, where he excelled as Operations Manager and Head of Supply Chain Management. His professional journey has honed his expertise in Public Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Negotiations, Supplier Performance, Contract Management, Finance, and Business Process Reengineering.

Throughout his career, Mario has led numerous projects focused on change management, innovation, policy-making, process re-engineering, and project management. His passion for delivering results drives him to continuously reengineer workflows, striving for lean operations and optimising processes. Mario is also an advocate for leveraging technological advancements and Artificial Intelligence to boost workplace productivity.

In his free time, Mario enjoys spending quality moments with his family and exploring his passion for photography.
