Perit Deborah Borg
Director – EU Projects

Deborah Borg is a graduate of the University of Malta, obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering and Architecture (Hons) degree in 1995 and a Master of Arts in Baroque Studies in 2002. She was awarded the warrant to practice as a perit (architect and civil engineer) in 1996.

Perit Borg started her professional career at the Malta Planning Authority, specifically within the transport section. She was subsequently appointed as the Deputy Resident Engineer during the construction of the Malta Freeport Terminal II. Ms Borg eventually joined the Coastal Management Company Limited where she was mostly involved in the design of educational infrastructure.

In 2004, she joined the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) where she was responsible for the construction of a number of buildings for the College and was actively involved in the development of the MCAST Masterplan in Corradino. Eventually she was entrusted with the setting up the MCAST’s EU Projects Office. In her capacity as EU Project Director, she was instrumental in securing in excess of 100 million Euros in EU funding primarily ERDF and ESF funds for MCAST.

Deborah’s main interests include reading, travelling, art and architecture.
