Theme and Rationale for this Year's Celebration

In 2026, MCAST will celebrate 25 years since the College first welcomed students. From the very beginning, our mission has been to equip learners with practical skills, sound knowledge, and the confidence to make a real contribution to society.

As we celebrate this anniversary, we also look towards the future. The world is changing at an extraordinary pace, shaped by new technologies, emerging industries, and global challenges. In this context, vocational education has never been more relevant. It prepares students not only for meaningful careers, but also to apply their skills responsibly, creating solutions that benefit both people and the planet.

Our theme for this opening ceremony, Creating with Care, Learning with Purpose reminds us that education is not only about progress, but also about balance. As we learn and innovate, we must remain rooted in our values, connected to our communities, and respectful of the environment that sustains us. This academic year, is an opportunity to reflect on the story of our college: to shape the future with creativity and responsibility, to pursue innovation while staying true to what matters most, and to carry forward MCAST's tradition of learning with purpose.
