May 29, 2023(1 event) 8:00 am: Transnational Meeting GOLEM Project – MCAST (IICT) is hosting the next transnational for the GOLEM project. The meeting will focus on the development of a training kit to enhance programming skills through gamification. This meeting will bring together educational experts from Malta, Lithuania, Macedonia, and Latvia. This collaborative initiative aims to revolutionize teaching methods. The meeting will feature engaging workshops where participants will exchange knowledge and share best practices. The goal is to create a comprehensive training kit that empowers both educators and students. By leveraging the popularity of Minecraft, an immersive and interactive game, students can learn coding concepts in an exciting virtual environment. This transnational meeting will foster global perspectives on education and facilitate cross-cultural collaboration. June 6, 2023(2 events) 11:45 am: MCAST Sales Pitch – Sales pitch events for the Level 6 Entrepreneurship modules 2:30 pm: Life with Yoga – The High Commission of India in Malta, in collaboration with the MCAST CSR & Events Department , organised a yoga session, ‘Life with Yoga’, to celebrate the 9th International Day of Yoga. The aim of the event was to celebrate the Indian holistic system of personal, physical, mental and spiritual wellness focusing on all-round unification of body, mind and soul. Prior to the yoga session by the instructor, Ms Svetlana Abela, a short presentation about how collective small acts create huge impacts for the benefit of our environment was delivered by Ms. C. P. Lakshmi. High Commissioner Gloria Gangte attended the event. She spoke about the importance that each individual should take action to protect and preserve the environment. Dr Tatjana Chircop, MCAST Deputy Principal, emphasized MCAST’s mission of being a community college for all. The event was also addressed by Mr Aniruddha Das, Second Secretary within the High Commission of India and Mr Richard Curmi, MCAST Director, who both spoke about future collaboration. The High Commissioner presented books about India to both Dr Chircop and Mr Curmi. |

During this meeting, representants from the various colleges and organisations involved within this Erasmus+ project will be discussing development and progress of the project deliverables. Tools for T is a journey towards educating VET students to become T-Shaped professionals. Through this Erasmus+ project, we will be developing tools which target the ability of combining VET theoretical and practical knowledge with other generic knowledge areas, thus extending competences across different functional disciplines. |
