February 25, 2025(1 event) 9:00 am: Enhancing Dissertation Supervision with AI: A STAR Project Demonstration – The STAR research team, led by Gerard Said Pullicino, is excited to welcome interested lecturers, students, and staff to a demonstration of the STAR dissertation supervision workbook, a system financed by Xjenza Malta through the FUSION: R&I Research Excellence Programme. The project leverages AI in order to generate educational content that is targeted and relevant to the user’s learning style. We will also be sharing an experiment that was carried out using AI to assist students to develop a viable research proposal, and encouraging interested lecturers, students, and staff to interact with the developed chatbot to explore solutions to different use cases.

February 26, 2025(1 event) 8:30 am: Engineering: An Overview of the Sector – Training for guidance teachers and career advisors – The Malta College of Arts, Science & Technology (MCAST), in collaboration with the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation, Chamber of Engineers, and the University of Malta (UOM), is once again organising its annual training event for guidance teachers. This initiative aims to equip guidance teachers with a deeper understanding of the engineering profession and the educational pathways leading to a career in engineering. Throughout the event, participants will benefit from insightful presentations by the Chamber of Engineers, UOM, and MCAST. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit educational institutions, explore facilities, and gain first-hand exposure to engineering education. This event serves as a valuable opportunity for educators to gain essential knowledge that will support and inspire students pursuing careers in engineering. |
