Dr. Oleksii Pirotti joined MCAST as a Director (Inventory Management and Archives) on the 1st July 2024.
Dr. Oleksii Pirotti received his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, Ukraine, where he also worked as an associate professor. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Kharkiv National Technical University of Agriculture, Ukraine.
Throughout his career, he worked as an associate professor at NTU “KHPI”, teaching courses such as “Modern Information Technologies in Electric Power Systems” and “Control Systems of Electricity Production and Distribution” to bachelors, masters and postgraduates of the Department of Electricity Transmission.
Since 2014, he held the position of Deputy Director of the Institute of Power Engineering, Electronics and Electromechanics NTU “KHPI”. During this period, he performed various duties related to the management of the Institute, consisting of 17 departments and about 1500 students of all levels.
He conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Malta, focusing on the application of FLASC technology for clean hydrogen production from offshore wind and energy storage in the central Mediterranean.
