Course Description
The aim of this course is to provide learners with the competence required to be able to join the Bachelor of Engineering programmes and the Bachelor of Civil & Structural Engineering programme through the enhancement of knowledge, skills and competences in mathematics and physics. The programme also includes elective study units in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, design studio and programming through sound theoretical and extensive hands-on approaches. Specialised construction related units will be offered to students taking the construction stream. This programme can also act as an exit point at MQF Level 5 for Advanced Diploma graduates, thus enabling successful candidates to achieve middle management engineering positions.

Entry Requirements
Internal Progression Route…
- Any MQF Level 4 (at least 120 credits) recognised Qualification in an Engineering, Science or ICT field,
OR
2 subjects as A-Level passes and 2 subjects as I-Level passes
Compulsory A-Levels: Physics OR Mathematics (Pure or Applied)

An Applicant aged 23 years and over, and not in possession of the above Entry Requirements, may wish to apply via the Maturity Clause route. Applicants under Maturity Clause must still present clear documentation showing that they have a number of achievements in hand together with their School Leaving formal Certificate / document (to confirm their successful completion of compulsory schooling). Age is not the only eligibility factor in such instances. Besides documents showing their past achievements, applicants must present a detailed CV using the Europass format, as well as the most recent official JobsPlus Employment History.
