Course Description

This course is based on both off-the-job and on-the-job training and gives an in-depth knowledge and experience of the general requirements and specialist areas related to the field of building and construction namely, Land Surveying. Knowledge gathered throughout the course program will enable the learner to carry out duties, at a professional and technical level, that are continuously required in an architect's office or firms dealing in the building construction and civil engineering projects related to Land Surveying, Infrastructural Projects and Project Management. The demand for qualified land surveyors is increasing and this course will allow students start a career in this field. Land surveying is a critical process that plays a vital role in various aspects of construction, real estate, and land development. It involves measuring and mapping land boundaries, topography, and features to provide accurate data for responsible decision-making. The course will give learners the required technical abilities in this specialisation.

Entry Requirements

Internal Progression Route…

  • Any MCAST MQF Level 3 (minimum 60 credits) Diploma or equivalent in an Engineering Field

OR

4 subjects at SEC / SSC&P / SSQP, or equivalent, with a Pass Grade / Level 3 Compulsory one subject from Engineering Technology or Design and Technology or Graphical Communication or Chemistry or Mathematics or Physics

Other notes related to this programme

An Applicant aged 21 years and over, and not in possession of the above Entry Requirements, may wish to apply via the Maturity Clause route.  Applicants under Maturity Clause must still present clear documentation showing that they have a number of achievements in hand together with their School Leaving formal Certificate / document (to confirm their successful completion of compulsory schooling).  Age is not the only eligibility factor in such instances.  Besides documents showing their past achievements, applicants must present a detailed CV using the Europass format, as well as the most recent official JobsPlus Employment History.
