Course Description

This course is designed to equip students with the necessary understanding and an all-round introduction to the aviation industry for those who wish to further their career in one of its occupational areas. It may lead to roles in airports such passenger liaison, ramp work, cargo operations and ground handling, flight operations and customer service.

The course is structured to give learners an overview and preparation to specialized areas that interest career aspirations within aviation. The course covers the appropriate fundamentals for progression onto further aviation specialization in the sector. The theoretical elements are supplemented with practical elements. Successful students can progress to other higher qualification courses, such as, the higher Diploma in Transportation, Logistics and Supply chain Management and the Bachelor of Arts(Honors) in Business Enterprise

Entry Requirements

Internal Progression Route…

  • Any MCAST MQF Level 3 Diploma

OR

4 subjects at SEC / SSC&P / SSQP, or equivalent, with a Pass Grade / Level 3 Compulsory: English Language

Other notes related to this programme

Upon being found eligible and registered as an MCAST student, one is expected to procure a Uniform, which is to be worn at all times whilst undergoing training on this programme.

An Applicant aged 21 years and over, and not in possession of the above Entry Requirements, may wish to apply via the Maturity Clause route.  Applicants under Maturity Clause must still present clear documentation showing that they have a number of achievements in hand together with their School Leaving formal Certificate / document (to confirm their successful completion of compulsory schooling).  Age is not the only eligibility factor in such instances.  Besides documents showing their past achievements, applicants must present a detailed CV using the Europass format, as well as the most recent official JobsPlus Employment History.
