Course Description
The Master of Science in Computing & Emerging Technologies imparts essential skills in various advanced ICT domains including Information Systems, Cloud Computing, Data Science, Business Intelligence and other emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence. The postgraduate degree aims to equip students with the required expertise in contemporary technologies whilst training them to use this knowledge to solve business challenges, yield competitive advantage and develop new ideas in these areas. A key component of the programme involves the research element, exposing the students to the theoretical and practical aspects of utilising these technologies for research purposes. It also equips them with the skills required to pursue an independent research endeavor at the end of the programme. Entry Requirements
Applicants must hold a recognised MQF/EQF Level 6 qualification, with at least 180 credits, in any from the fields of Computing, Information Systems / Technology, Science and/or Technology. Applicants whose qualifications are in disciplines not directly related to Computing, should evidence their sound experience in computing and programming.
Applicanst found eligible as per above, will also be asked to successfully complete a Master’s Programnme Suitability Interview
In the absence of above entry requirements, applicants aged 27 years and over, can submit an application under the Maturity Clause…. but must present a recognised MQF/EQF Level 5 qualification, or its equivalent, in the fields of Computing, Science, or Technology, together with clear evidence of a minimum of three (3) years (full time) of direct and relevant professional experience. Applicants whose qualifications are in disciplines not directly related to Computing, should evidence their sound experience in computing and programming.
Applicants under Maturity Clause, will be asked to sit for a combined Maturity and Master’s Suitability Interview
