Course Description
This postgraduate programme in Creative Media and Enterprise focuses on the challenging and intriguing relationship between Creative Media Production and Strategic Media Enterprise. This Master’s programme is designed to give learners the opportunity to develop their own envisaged idea for a Creative Media Enterprise and making it a reality. Learners will be given the opportunity to work in a chosen field of Creative Media Practice while developing a solid theoretical understanding of practices and operations in the creative and cultural industries. They will learn about the objectives of creative and cultural policies, the implications of intellectual property and best practices to develop and run own Creative Media business start-up. This course will also allow learners to up and run their own successful Creative Media Enterprise regardless of whether they intend to set up their own practice or are already working in an established business enterprise.

Entry Requirements
Internal Progression Route…
- MCAST Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Creative Media Production
OR
an equivalent first degree directly related to Creative Media Production (MQF Level 6 at 180 ECTS credits or more)
Applicants found eligible as per above, will also be asked to successfully complete a Master’s Programnme Suitability Interview
In the absence of above entry requirements, applicants aged 27 years and over, can submit an application under the Maturity Clause…. but must present a recognised full qualification in the area of Creative Media Production, together with clear evidence of a minimum of five (5) years (full time) direct and relevant professional experience.
A well-structured and proeprly documented Portfolio to evidence this profesisonal experience, skills and abilities in the area, is required… duly endorsed by Professional References
Applicants under Maturity Clause, will be asked to sit for a combined Maturity and Master’s Suitability Interview.
