Course Description

This programme of study provides a strong grounding in fundamental science and technology principles, as well as an initial exposure to vocational science subjects related to health, environment, food and engineering industries. The learner will be able to understand the fundamental principles and laws of science, and how these are applied within the industrial sector. The learner will also be able to understand the science of different materials, and gain an awareness of the principles behind certain technologies.

2 subjects at SEC / SSC&P / SSQP, or equivalent, with a Pass Grade / Level 3

— from the following subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Design and Technology, Health and Social Care, AgriBusiness (SEC)

Other notes related to this programme

An Applicant aged 19 years and over, and not in possession of the above Entry Requirements, may wish to apply via the Maturity Clause route.  Applicants under Maturity Clause must still present clear documentation showing that they have a number of achievements in hand together with their School Leaving formal Certificate / document (to confirm their successful completion of compulsory schooling).  Age is not the only eligibility factor in such instances.  Besides documents showing their past achievements, applicants must present a detailed CV using the Europass format, as well as the most recent official JobsPlus Employment History.
