Course Description
The Award in Preparatory Vocational Skills: Learning and Employability has been designed as a vocational, entry-level qualification aimed at learners who require structured preparation before progressing to further vocational education, training, or supported employment. The programme responds to the needs of individuals who may have had limited engagement with formal education or who require the development of foundational learning, social, and employability skills within a practical and supportive learning environment. The programme is aimed at students with learning and intellectual difficulties who need support and more transition before proceeding into mainstream education and/or employment
At MQF Level 1, learners are expected to develop basic knowledge and skills, perform simple tasks under direct supervision, and begin to take responsibility for their own learning and actions. This programme has been specifically structured to align with these descriptors by emphasising hands-on learning, routine-based tasks, and supported practice.
