Course Description
The MCAST Master in Research Methods (MResMethods) programme is carried out via a taught methodology component that is then developed into a detailed research endeavour that has to be implemented, presented and defended at Master's level. Students will have demonstrated originality in the application of knowledge by designing and developing advanced research skills using specific tools and a robust methodological approach. The programme guides the student towards compiling peer-reviewed research articles at publishable level. It provides the student with sound practical knowledge and experience in preparation for a career that includes a significant research element, as well as in the preparation and training for a research endeavour at doctoral level.

The Master in Research Methods is aimed at academics or industry personnel interested in furthering their research acumen.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must hold a recognised MQF/EQF Level 6 qualification in any area or field of study, with at least 180 ECTS credits and a documented final degree classification.
Other notes related to this programme
In the absence of holding the above entry requirements, applicants aged 27 years and over, can submit an application under the Maturity Clause…. but must present a recognised MQF/EQF Level 5 qualification (minimum 120 ects credits) together with clear evidence of at least three (3) years (full time) direct and relevant professional experience specifically in the research area being undertaken.
Applicants under Maturity Clause, will be asked to sit for a combined Maturity and Master’s Suitability Interview
