Course Description
This programme serves as an initial step for those who are interested in pursuing a career in electronics. This course is designed to provide basic theory and practice related to electronics, that are then enhanced through the work-based learning. The course consists of both key skill units and vocational units, of which mostly are carried out in the workshops and laboratories. This course provides a good foundation for future career opportunities in engineering and may also serve for progression to level 4 engineering courses.

- Any MCAST MQF level 2 Foundation Certificate
OR
2 subjects at SEC / SSC&P / SSQP, or equivalent, with a Pass Grade / Level 3
Other notes related to this programme
An Applicant aged 19 years and over, and not in possession of the above Entry Requirements, may wish to apply via the Maturity Clause route. Applicants under Maturity Clause must still present clear documentation showing that they have a number of achievements in hand together with their School Leaving formal Certificate / document (to confirm their successful completion of compulsory schooling). Age is not the only eligibility factor in such instances. Besides documents showing their past achievements, applicants must present a detailed CV using the Europass format, as well as the most recent official JobsPlus Employment History.
