Course Description
The programme of studies prepares learners with a strong foundation to work in child care settings in the capacity of assisting the childcare educator. The course offers class based learning that provides introductory knowledge required to understand the basic practice of the childcare educator and sets a good foundation for learners wishing to embark on a career in Early Years Education and Care. The course also provides hands on practice to support learners throughout their journey to fully immerse in the required skills to work in childcare.

- Assistant Childcare Educator (current national standards require applicant to be 23 years of age)
Entry Requirements
Internal Progression Route….
- Any MCAST MQF level 2 Foundation Certificate
OR
2 subjects at SEC / SSC&P / SSQP, or equivalent, with a Pass Grade / Level 3
