Course Description
This course is a specialised programme designed to equip students with theoretical knowledge, practical skills and ethical foundation required for a career in disciplinary forces by emphasising policies and procedures on security, law enforcement, firefighting and military services. This course combines physical training, studies on the justice system, development and crisis management, fostering a disciplined and service-oriented mindset. Students will gain competencies in issues of national security, responding to challenging situations and the enforcement of law and order. The content of the course also addresses matters of ethical and professional conduct that promote equality and respect. The physical nature of this line of work also entails being physically fit, this is fostered through modules which address how to achieve and maintain a health lifestyle.

- Any MCAST MQF level 2 Foundation Certificate
OR
Any 2 subjects at SEC / SSC&P / SSQP, or equivalent, with a Pass Grade / Level 3

A “Pre-Entry / Eligibility Fitness Medical Clearance Form” will be made available on the course’s web page on MCAST website (‘MCAST Full Time courses’ Section). This will need to be filled in and signed by a Medical Professional Practitioner / GP as well as endorsed by parents in instances of applicants who are under 18 years of age. When submitting an application for this programme of studies, this filled-in and signed document needs to be part of the uploads submitted, in order for the application to be processed. Without that upload, the application will not be processed during the Admissions period (Summer 2026)
