Internship

Course Description

The professionalisation of the performing arts has been a national priority for the sector for the last few years. This multi and interdisciplinary undergraduate programme responds to this priority and gives learners the opportunity to work hands-on in creative environments through joint collaboration with industry stakeholders to manage and produce performing arts projects for both artistic and commercial practices. According to their chosen study-area/s (management, acting, dance, music, light, sound, costumes, set, props) learners acquire a broad range of skills and techniques focusing on performing arts productions, through critical analysis, research and practical assignments. In their final year, learners are given the opportunity to research and develop their own individual practice.

Entry Requirements

Internal Progression Route…

  • Any MCAST MQF Level 4 Advanced Diploma

2 subjects as A-Level passes and 2 subjects as I-Level passes

As part of the eligibility process, applicants in possession of above requirements will be required to sit for an interview and audition, which will determine eligibility for the course

An Applicant aged 23 years and over, and not in possession of the above Entry Requirements, may wish to apply via the Maturity Clause route.  Applicants under Maturity Clause must still present clear documentation showing that they have a number of achievements in hand together with their School Leaving formal Certificate / document (to confirm their successful completion of compulsory schooling).  Age is not the only eligibility factor in such instances.  Besides documents showing their past achievements, applicants must present a detailed CV using the Europass format, as well as the most recent official JobsPlus Employment History.
