Course Description

This degree programme is intended for learners who wish to pursue studies which will provide them with the appropriate competences for the measurement and imaging of the human body’s physiological activity. Scientists qualified in this field team up with various other health professionals and provide the diagnostic information which is vital to the medical profession in the treatment of several medical conditions. This three-year programme will provide the learner with the knowledge, clinical training and skills necessary to gain the professional qualifications required to work as a healthcare science practitioner in the area of clinical physiology.

  • MCAST Advanced Diploma for Pharmacy Technician, or
  • MCAST Advanced Diploma in Health Sciences, or
  • MCAST Advanced Diploma for Dental Surgery Assistants

2 subjects as A-Level passes and 2 subjects as I-Level passes

Other notes related to this programme

Applicants will be subject to an Occupational Health Screening to establish their suitability for the Placement which is a mandatory part of this programme. Once course would have started, failure to present a successful health screening (as per an established and set Protocol), will result in not being in a position to start the work placements. This will eventually preclude the student from a successful completion of course. Prior to embarking on Work Placement, student must also provide evidence of a clean police conduct certificate.

An Applicant aged 23 years and over, and not in possession of the above Entry Requirements, may wish to apply via the Maturity Clause route.  Applicants under Maturity Clause must still present clear documentation showing that they have a number of achievements in hand together with their School Leaving formal Certificate / document (to confirm their successful completion of compulsory schooling).  Age is not the only eligibility factor in such instances.  Besides documents showing their past achievements, applicants must present a detailed CV using the Europass format, as well as the most recent official JobsPlus Employment History.
