Course Description
This programme of study provides learners with a very thorough understanding of aquaculture and fisheries sciences and includes a wide range of aspects that will provide a better understanding of these sectors. The study units revolve around the aquaculture and fisheries sciences to provide an in-depth understanding of the production and management of aquaculture facilities, and the highly complex field of fisheries. This programme of study is intended for those who want to delve deeper into the fish management sciences and who want to start a career in this sector.

Entry Requirements
Internal Progression route….
- MCAST Advanced Diploma in Animal Management and Veterinary Nursing, or
- MCAST Advanced Diploma in Fish Management, or
- MCAST Advanced Diploma in Horticulture
OR
2 subjects as A-Level passes and 2 subjects as I-Level passes

An Applicant aged 23 years and over, and not in possession of the above Entry Requirements, may wish to apply via the Maturity Clause route. Applicants under Maturity Clause must still present clear documentation showing that they have a number of achievements in hand together with their School Leaving formal Certificate / document (to confirm their successful completion of compulsory schooling). Age is not the only eligibility factor in such instances. Besides documents showing their past achievements, applicants must present a detailed CV using the Europass format, as well as the most recent official JobsPlus Employment History.
