Course Description

This course is designed to provide the learner with basic knowledge and skills to start a career in the aviation industry, such as customer service personnel, passenger and baggage handling, and in-ground services within the airport and may also lead to a position as a cabin crew* subject to further training. The course covers a range of topics, including aviation safety & security, emergency procedures, customer service, and communication skills. This course also trains students on different aspects of air travel, including airport operations, ground and RAMP handling services, and cabin operations. After completing this course, the learner can further their studies at MCAST within the aviation industry by choosing either the Advanced Diploma in Aviation, Flight and Cabin Operations or the Advanced Diploma in Transportation, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or else they can start to work in various positions within the aviation industry.

  • Any MCAST MQF Level 2 Foundation Certificate

OR

2 subjects at SEC / SSC&P / SSQP, or equivalent, with a Pass Grade / Level 3

Other notes related to this programme

Upon being found eligible and registered as an MCAST student, one is expected to procure a Uniform, which is to be worn at all times whilst undergoing training on this programme.

An Applicant aged 19 years and over, and not in possession of the above Entry Requirements, may wish to apply via the Maturity Clause route.  Applicants under Maturity Clause must still present clear documentation showing that they have a number of achievements in hand together with their School Leaving formal Certificate / document (to confirm their successful completion of compulsory schooling).  Age is not the only eligibility factor in such instances.  Besides documents showing their past achievements, applicants must present a detailed CV using the Europass format, as well as the most recent official JobsPlus Employment History.
