On Saturday, 24 October 2026, MCAST and the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) join forces at MICAS, Malta International Contemporary Art Space, Floriana, for an afternoon and evening exploring fashion, sustainability and the circular economy. The day opens with a public workshop from 17:00 to 18:50, open to all. Participants can then join a hands-on session to dismantle installations and transform them into 35 tote bags.

The evening continues at 19:00 with the Upcycling Fashion Show, created by students of the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Fashion at MCAST ICA. Attendance at the show is by invitation only. Marking MCAST’s 25th anniversary and ERA’s 10th, the evening features addresses by MCAST Principal & CEO Mr Stephen Vella and ERA CEO Mr Kevin Mercieca, before the students’ collections take to the runway.
