Asking for a Change in Personal Details as showing on MCAST CMIS profile
If you are a Registered MCAST student on a Full Time or Part Time programme of studies, and would like to request a change (or more) in the personal data showing on your active MCAST CMIS, you are kindly asked to:
- Go directly to your Institute’s / Department’s / Centre’s Secretariat
- Present your valid (not expired) ID Documentation or Passport (if as yet you do not have a Maltese ID Document). The documents are to be presented physically and not as a soft version on a smartphone or other device.
- On your behalf, ask the Secretariat to fill in a request for change in details
- Answer to the questions asked by the Secretariat officer filling in the form on your behalf. It is important that you take the opportunity to check that all your details on your CMIS profile are correct
The online form can only be filled in on your behalf by the Institute / Centre Secretariat Officers, if in person you physically present a valid ID Document and give clear answers to the questions asked to you.
NOTE: This also applies if you happen to be a student in transit from one course to the next (Form B), or from one year of study to the next (Form C), or Repeating units (Form D), or else changing your course to a completely new one (Form R)
In case of a request to change how your gender is showing on CMIS, but at the point of making your request the official ID Document issued by the State is not yet showing the change in gender (for various legal reasons), the process involves a different official form which needs to be filled in and accompanied by a legal document (Court / Lawyer / Notary) which clearly shows that a request for change in gander has been submitted at the Law Courts of Malta, and that the request is under process.
