Brief Description of organisation

“We are the largest association for girls and young women, locally and across the world!

Since 1923, the Malta Girl Guides has been enabling girls and young women to develop their fullest potential as responsible citizens.

Through a quality interactive programme we give our members and volunteers the chance to develop a sound character, life skills, leadership skills and a positive sense of direction, while always opening up their world to new opportunities both on a local and international level. Young women over 18 can become leaders or contribute in the voluntary organisation as adult volunteers thereafter. We promote confidence, commitment and determination

As an Association, we are full members of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, and therefore, we form part of 10 million members worldwide.”

Type of community work that can be offered to our students

• Assist MGG units with planning and implementation of their educational programme
• Design artwork for unit initiatives such as flyers, posters etc
• Create videos for groups or MGG initiatives
• Photography or photography sessions for groups
• Organise information, educational sessions on specific areas for groups or sport sessions
• Join in clean up sessions

All of the above would be supervised by MGG leaders
