Brief Description of organisation

Embrace Diversity is an NGO for children and youths with special needs, founded by mothers of special needs children themselves. At embrace members are encouraged to learn, play and explore in an enriched environment which cater for their individual needs. The organisation provides a space where children are given the opportunity to express themselves in a safe environment and bring out their abilities whilst fostering key skills through a holistic approach and different training methods. Embrace encourages social interaction and teamwork that in return aids in building a circle of friends. Notably, many activities at embrace aim to help students reach a level of independance. Furthermore, other activities that target a variety of skills, offered at embrace include; pool sessions, gardening, music, drama, arts, multisensory as well as a number of therapies.

Type of community work that can be offered to our students

Assisting main tutors with their respective sessions as well as looking out for students’ well being during such sessions.
