Brief Description of organisation

Beland is a cultural organisation active in the locality of Zejtun since 1861. As a voluntary organisation we operate a music school as well as a windband which performs all year round. The organisation operates in various cultural sectors including music, drama, visual arts, fireworks and digital media. A team of about 100 volunteers are involved in the running of the organisation; these organise events, maintain the premises, raise funds, collaborate with other organisations and engage in marketing activities to promote our initiatives.

Type of community work that can be offered to our students

Event Crew (venue setup, backstage, operations: example bar staff / cash point, Sound/Light operator, DJ)

Marketing work: Artwork design, video prodution, live streaming crew, web design

Drama: Backstage, acting

Photography: Event photographers, Photo Sessions

Festive Week: Join our team in preparations for the feast in Zejtun

Administration: Be involved in work related to securing public funds for the organisation
