The Malta College of Arts, Science, and Technology (MCAST) will be holding the 1st edition of the European Dual Higher Education Conference (EU4Dual). A number of project meetings and a conference will be taking place on campus next week. The University Alliance is co-funded and organised by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union will take place between 8 April and 11 April 2024.
The College will be welcoming over 200 international attendees, including a number of key speakers for this event.
On Monday 8 April a number of Senior Officials from nine Universities, including MCAST, will be holding an academic council on campus in Paola. Representative students of the Alliance will be joined by MCAST staff for outdoor team-building activities.
Student, Industrial and Regional consultative councils will be meeting on Tuesday 9 April. Moreover, a number of work package meetings and round table discussions will be held.
The official opening of the conference will be held on Wednesday 10 April. Two main themes will be explored and discussed during the day and on the 11 April, namely, the future of work and dual higher education.
The European Dual Studies University (EU4Dual), is co-funded by the Erasmus+ European Universities Alliance Programme and is a transnational alliance between nine higher education (HE) institutions across Europe namely, MCAST, Mondragon University in Spain, FH Joanneum University of Applied Sciences in Austria, Ecole Superieure des Technologies Industrielles Avancees in France, Koszalin Technological University in Poland, Duale Hochschule Baden-Wurttemberg in Germany, PAR University College in Croatia, Savonia University of Applied Sciences in Finland and John von Neumann University in Hungary.
