The Malta College of Arts, Science, and Technology (MCAST) together with the Institute of Business Management and Commerce (IBMC) proudly hosted the 2023 IBMC Fexserv Awards at the College’s Main Campus in Paola.
The event brought together academic staff and industry partners to celebrate the students’ success. Fexserv Fund Services Limited, one of Malta’s leading financial services providers, sponsored the award ceremony and presented awards to the winners.
Institute of Business Management and Commerce Director Mr Andrew Galea stated that, “these events provide the perfect backdrop for industry players to be intrinsically involved in shaping and mentoring of future generations, whilst also providing invaluable feedback on course content thus ensuring that courses at IBMC continue to remain relevant and up-to-date in such an ever changing world.”
The award for the first overall student during this year’s award ceremony in the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Financial Services Management was Ms Bronwen Spiteri and 2nd overall was awarded to Ms Ylenia Fenech. Ms Nicole Balzan and Ms Tanya Joy De Marco were awarded the first and second overall respectively in the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business Enterprise course. This year the Principal’s Award was awarded to Mr Aaron Farrugia, third year Bachelor of Arts in (Honours) in Business Enterprise student, in recognition of his indomitable spirit and his positive attitude in face of the challenges he faces daily.
MCAST Principal and CEO Professor Joachim James Calleja said “students’ dedication and perseverance during their studies and apprenticeships is fundamentally important. These attributes will help them succeed in their future careers.”
At IBMC, students are provided with a unique platform where academic learning is blended with hands-on experience, empowering the student with a better understanding of the needs within the industry.
College officials thanked Managing Director Ms Anabel Mifsud, and Group Chief Executive Officer Mr Lawrence Buttigieg at Fexserv for their dedication and firm belief in students.
