Partner schools
The MCAST Partner School Project in collaboration with the Ministry for Education, Sports, Youths, Research and Innovation (MEYR) started in 2017 with Saint Benedict Secondary School in Kirkop and it offered Diploma in IT and Diploma in Engineering, with an additional two stand-alone units in Performing Skills. All lectures are delivered during after school hours by trained lecturers in the same vocational area.
This programme is especially beneficial for those students who intend to progress to higher levels of education and training. Based on a series of study units, students will harness theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills during lectures as well as workshop-based sessions. Apart from focusing on vocational practice, throughout this programme, students will also be strengthening their communication and presentation skills as well as other essential key skills.
Secondary School students in the participating schools can apply for these courses within their school. Information meetings will be held in each school about the courses available and entry requirements. Please note that Diploma courses may vary from one participating school to another.
