Students who are ALREADY registered at MCAST for academic year 2025/26, as students on a course of study and with an active MCAST email address (2025/26), may wish to request a Transfer of Course by filling the online form here https://forms.office.com/e/8ab8waLs5U
The form can be filled in using your MCAST email address.
Transfers can only be considered if spaces are still available on the selected course.
Eligibility will still be processed when transferring to the new course, and so it is important that all the necessary entry requirements for the chosen course would be clearly available in the student’s profile from original vetting which led to Registration as MCAST student. Otherwise it will not be possible to vet eligibility for the Transfer.
To this effect, if you are now eligible for a different course from the one you have already been registered on, after achieving additional grades following (for example) publication of MATSEC / SEC September 2025 Results, it is important that when filling in the online form here https://forms.office.com/e/8ab8waLs5U, a full clear scan of the latest results slip (NOT SMS screenshot) is uploaded accordingly.
If for some reason you have not submitted an application between 14th July and 25th August and you now want to submit such a new application, kindly refer to the Late Application Call (1st till 7th October 2025) – however please ensure reading (further down) the terms and conditions which come with that call – updated accordingly till eve of call opening).
The Late Application submission process will take off on 1st October at 8am, and a form will be activated at that time
Late Applications (EUR 50 non-refundable fee). Exceptional circumstances only.
To express your interest in submitting a late application (as per terms and conditions hereunder), you are kindly asked to fill in the online Expression of Interest form, https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/YiPR7YbGU9.Should it be found that an applicant would have submitted a direct online application without going through the proper channel of making use of this online expression of interest form (https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/YiPR7YbGU9), that online application will be deleted without advise
This Late Applications’ window is the final chance to submit an application for an MCAST Full Time programme. Note that FT Programmes available here will not include courses that are oversubscribed. Kindly click here for more info.
Having an active and valid EID credentials linked to your Maltese Identity Document, makes the application a simpler process, although it will still take its time. It will not be possible for applicants to start attending lectures, before they will be Accepted as MCAST registered students (following the whole process of submitting the non-refundable late fee, obtaining the official receipt from MCAST Finance Department, being formally asked to proceed with setting up the course application, vetting the eligibility for selected course, sending course acceptance offer, accepting the offer and becoming Registered at an MCAST Institute).
Applicants for a course need to check and ensure that they will have in hand all the necessary Entry Requirements for the course they choose. This late call does not come with Maturity Clause arrangements, neither will it be possible to try and find comparable alternatives to what is clearly explained as the Entry Requirements (in terms of Exams / Certificates etc) in the respective Course Webpage. Where Initial Assessment Tests are involved as part of entry eligibility vetting, there will only be one sitting which mist be utilised by the applicant in order to have the application processed. In the case of Master in Veterinary Medicine, applicants must be in clear possession of the required minimum of Grade B in MASEC exams (as per entry requirements stated on course webpage) … late applicants will not have any opportunity for the course specific entry examinations.
Online Course Applications which are submitted with missing uploads which are required to show eligibility for course, or – even more so – no uploads or defective / unclear scans or pics, cannot be processed.
Submission of online Late Applications leading to an online course application on the Admissions portal, can only start off after the fee would have been paid and the official receipt issued by MCAST Finance. It is only at that point that a Course Late Application can be formally submitted with all required uploaded documents. A link where to do that, will be communicated directly to the applicant who would have expressed interest in late application, and would have received the official receipt. Any online course application forms submitted prior to the issue of the receipt from the MCAST Finance Department, will be automatically deleted without advise.
This window (1st to 7th October) is available for TCN and EU Nationals residing in Malta who do not have an active Maltese EID (required to create a MCAST CMIS account). The process here requires the presentation to MCAST of a previous clear communication with Identita Agency which proves that the process for getting the EID for the applicant, has either started off or else Identita Agency confirms that the applicant will not be entitled to an EID for a justified purpose. IMPORTANT: this process of applying without an active and valid EID will take longer due to the alternative method and may take up to after mid-October to have an application set up and start being processed – always depending on whether the proper documents would have presented to MCAST accordingly (including any MQRIC Statements for Non-Maltese qualifications which would be presented as entry eligibility.
This Late Application window is NOT available for applicants who do not have all the necessary entry requirements (including the MQRIC statement for non-Maltese qualifications) by 7th October at 1700h. Applications intended for submission under the Maturity Clause will also not be processed – as already explained earlier.
