Over 2,000 students from various secondary schools are visiting the College throughout November and December. These orientation visits are part of the College’s awareness-raising initiatives organised by the Outreach and Student Affairs Department.
The department organises activities in schools and on campus. These initiatives ensure that all secondary school students know about the range of learning opportunities in various areas, including applied science, business, engineering, creativearts, community services, ICT and more.
MCAST aims to support students considering higher education or studying at the College. The students experience life on campus and participate in interactive sessions that give them a taste of the subjects and career paths.
Students meet our lecturers, who introduce their subjects to help participants find out what’s going on in the areas of study they enjoy or discover which subject is the perfect fit for them. They meet our current MCAST students while touring the campus and discovering the workshop settings and facilities.
Through our campus tours and visits, we aim to inform young people about the benefits of studying vocational education and to increase progression to higher education from students of all backgrounds.
