Thinking of becoming a professional journalist? MCAST just announced that applications for prospective students who want to graduate in the B.A. (Hons) in Journalism are now open.

The course introduces students to the world of journalism. The objective of this course is to train students to become knowledgeable and experienced practitioners in analysing and reporting events that shape our lives as well as the world around us.

This undergraduate course gives BA Journalism students the opportunity to work on a wide range of life-changing experiences. Students can put in practice skills and knowledge in professional reporting by gaining first-hand experiences in various fieldwork.

These learning experiences involve students to work closely with Media professionals for both local and international outputs. Students participate in a work-intensive collaborations with various news outlets. Students collaborate closely with local and international broadcast professionals and entrusted to film, photograph and publish reports on various activities that take place during their learning journeys.

The results from such learning experiences and a good reliable track record of professionalism, grant our journalism students a front seat in applying their knowledge in real-life journalism work.

MCAST also invests heavily in the development of media facilities and a specialised newsroom space for our future Journalists. Facilities include full access to TV and Radio recording studios, geared up with industry standard software and hardware. Moreover, a fully dedicated location is setup where students are able to plan, develop, produce and broadcast media content and publications.
