His Excellency, the President of Malta George Vella and his wife Miriam Vella, visited the MCAST Freshers’ Days activities. Minister for Education Justyne Caruana and MCAST Principal Professor Joachim James Calleja welcomed the President at the MCAST campus for the annual event.

President George Vella toured several exhibitor stands at the Freshers’ Days event. This year over 80 companies and NGOs chose to participate in the much-awaited student centre activity at the Paola campus. While observing the vibrant atmosphere and excitement, President George Vella, also greeted and shook hands with various students while wishing them success in their studies and future careers.
During his visit, the President was told how the range of events and activities during this year’s Freshers’ were designed to help new students integrate, make new friends and familiarise themselves with the Campus surroundings.

The Freshers’ Days activities included orientation visits, talks and demonstrations, which allow MCAST to give students a warm welcome while making them feel at home within a college where they belong. Acitvities will also be held at the Mosta and Gozo campuses.
